Sankranti means transmigration of the Sun from one zodiac to another in Indian astronomy. Makar Sankranti festival is dedicated to worship Lord Surya. This day is celebrated by offering prayers to Lord Surya with great zeal across the country.
The festival was celebrated at Global Academy For Learning on 13 January 2023.The students took part in a special assembly wherein the students of Kindergarten hummed a beautiful rhyme about ‘Kite’ and the students of grade I to VIII showcased a Folk dance of all the regions celebrating the festival and a ramp walk representing the states of our country. The children involved themselves in classroom activities like Kite, hand fans and card making and also involved in Til and jaggery sweet making activities, etc. The whole school was filled with festive hues and spirit.
