Activities for Children
Min.Age at the beginning of the Academic Year : 1 Yr. & 6 Months Play schools impart age-appropriate concepts and lessons, increase social adaptability and hone a child’s cognitive function. Play schools also teach children to recognize their own possessions.
The Toddler program includes playtime, rest, music and movement, stories, art activities, water play, exploration, outdoor fun and lots of love make up the toddler day with an aim towards the support of personal and social growth, language development and independence skills.
Teachers provide a setting which allows children to be creative and to explore their environment through their senses, by physically moving about and through social interaction with others.
Toilet training is an important focus of the two year old group, beginning when each child is ready with the staff and parents working together as a team.
Min.Age at the beginning of the Academic Year : 2 Yr. & 6 Months In Nursery children are engaged in the activities like counting, numbers recognition,reading & many more funfilled activites in purposeful manner.
The primary objective of Pre K program at GAFL is to provide an environment where child can express their self to the fullest. They first learn how to communicate, play and interact with others. Emphasis is placed on your child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical developmental needs on an individual basis. Your child’s curriculum includes music, art, dramatic play, calendar and weather study and listening skills. Fine and gross motor activities are also incorporated into the program throughout the year. The children are given opportunities throughout the week to participate in our 9 distinct Learning Centers that are designed with age appropriate activities. The curriculum is carefully designed to ensure a good foundation is laid for formal school education as well. This is accomplished by teaching children the English language using the ‘Jolly Phonics’ program. Through this program children are taken through the stages of Learning 26 letter sounds, Exposure to the stages of blending and segmenting CVC words Developing prewriting skills
Our Daily Routine includes
During the morning children participate in the “registration” and “circle time” which allows them to learn about their world through teacher directed activities. Throughout the day children are given opportunities to participate in various Learning Centers that are designed with age appropriate activities and choices.
During the “activity time”, children move freely around daily planned activities; such as art, science, water play, cooking, stories, puppets, sensory play, block building, music and movement and dramatic play. During the remainder of the afternoon our program is an open classroom. Your child will have an opportunity to pursue his or her own interests in various curriculum centers or to participate in planned activities both indoors and outdoors.
The Growing with Mathematics
Pre-K program has been designed to provide significant, carefully sequenced mathematics education.
This program integrates the best practices of both early childhood education and mathematics.
Children develop critical thinking skills and problem solving abilities through the many opportunities provided in the learning centers.
Children learn everything they need to be prepared for Kindergarten and beyond.

K1 & K2 program seeks to develop the child’s sense of self-worth as an active learner and member of the school community. Each child learns to assume responsibility, master skills, and solve problems. The classroom environment is designed to stimulate the child’s natural sense of wonder and curiosity through opportunities for fun, friendship, vigorous activity, adventure, and quiet reflection. A rich and varied curriculum, including language, mathematics, science and social studies, supports and promotes students’ intellectual development. Weekly learning experiences in art, music, drama, library, health, and physical education are also provided. Addressing the social and emotional needs of each child is an essential part of the K1 & K2 Program. Fundamental is a positive self-image for all children feeling confident about themselves and their ideas as well as their abilities. Each child is encouraged to take risks and to view mistakes as natural learning experiences. The ages of four to six are times when children become more sensitive and aware of those around them and learn to be tolerant and respectful of the differing ethnic origins, beliefs, feelings and abilities of others. Children also learn to develop and sustain good relationships.
